Mount Abu offers a lot to the tourists including numerous temples, view points, parks, gardens, etc. The must visit spots are:
Gaumukh Temple: This temple is known to be the venue for Sage Vashishtha's yagna. The temple owes its name to a spring that gushes through a carved cow's head.
Dilwara Jain Temple: One of the most popular tourist places of Mount Abu is Dilwara Jain temples which reflect a superb architectural elegance. Made of carved marble, these temples were constructed between 11th and 13th century AD.
Shri Raghunathji Temple: Dedicated to Shri Raghunathji, this nice temple is located near Nakki Lake and houses a gorgeous image of the deity.
Adhar Devi Temple: At a distance of 3 km from Mount Abu this temple is reached by a flight of 360 stairs. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and was carved out of a massive rock.
Nakki Talab: According to the legend the Nakki Talab was dug up by the gods using their fingernails. Added attraction a Raghunath temple of 14th century near the lake.
Sunset Point: The visitors can enjoy the spectacular view of the setting sun from this point.
Honeymoon Point: The breathtaking view of the lush plains and green valleys from this point is something to cherish. This point is also known as Andra Point.
Museum and Art Gallery: Located at the Raj Bhawan, this museum exhibits a rich collection of archaeological excavations which dates back to 8th-12th century A.D.
Gardens and Parks: You can enjoy the scenic beauty of Mount Abu while strolling down the various parks and gardens. The famous ones are Municipal Park, Terrace Garden, Shaitan Singh Park, Ashok Vatika and Gandhi Park.
